he is very cute, and pretty, unfortunatly he and the other 3 are my "sellin" ducklings, I don't think I'll be keeping any. I want to focus on the other three older ducklings, wait til they're old enough to twll what they are, and until the pen gets inlarged, wich is in the planning, I don't want many more ducks.

can someone tell me about imprinted ducklings?, I'm assuming that since he saw me first, I'm "mom"?

I've always been told that ducklings inprint harder, meaning much stronger than chicks do, and they'll follow you all over the earth.

he's not up and walking yet, but he does scoot towards me,if i walk by, and the way he looks at me

I've just noticed that the little blue duckling(the 2 are still in the bator, keeps it's neck curled like it's still in the egg???

is that normal??

here are pics of the 2nd and 3rd ducklings.

all three babies:

(they're on a heating pad, so they dry nicely, and stay warm, I've done this with all the chicks hatched in the bator)

the 2nd duckling:

(does it look blue or silver?, it's much lighter than Templeton when she was just hatched)

3rd duckling:

the pics are crappy, I'll get better ones tomorrow, the fourth duckling looks like the third, they look like pure mallards.

We had one that stayed like that for awhile, then it couldn't stand, kept falling over to the left. We gave him/her a bit of time, and finally he/she walks perfectly normal.

Congrats on the new babies!
