All gone

Well, I took the eggs out last night and they were all gone. I had one that had gotten into the air sac, but couldn't pip the shell. Another must have died a couple of days before it was due and the others were dead at various stages. I knew that this batch probably wouldn't make it when we had to take them from Big Momma and bring them inside. I guess my ds was right to name "lucky" that. he is one lucky chick. Spoiled rotten to boot! We are done with the hatching now until spring. Hope everyone else has better luck with theirs.

Yeah, I had a really bad feeling something was going to go wrong when the other two hens decided taht they were going to try to take over the eggs that Big momma had. What a mess. i felt so bad for her and little Lucky.
