All hens stopped laying!

If you free range at all, they may have a secret stash of eggs somewhere. I just found a nest with almost 20 eggs yesterday.

Yeah, been there. If I don’t thrust them I keep the hens confined to the coop and run a whole day. And when I open the gate I follow the fastest one go to any hiding place.
Whenever I found eggs in a secret nest I kept them in ‘prison’ for a few days. This really helps a lot. Haven’t done this in a long time now.

My hen stopped laying as soon as her sister hen died. It's been 4 months. We also had 2 hurricanes here in October Can you help me by forwarding this to whomever could give me advice and your thoughts too please. Thank you!

hello, I apologize for the late response, do you have other chickens besides this one? did they all stop laying? what are you feeding her? was she a consistent layer b4 the sister hen died?, I know as a fact from my own flock that stress really affects hens egg production, the hurricanes were no help. look and see if there are any physical reasons that might contribute to why she'd stop laying, was she hurt?, have you dewormed her? usually, if you've ruled out illness or worms, give her some of her favorite treats, and watch her, when my hens are off like that i make a porridge with garlic, ginger and turmeric mixed in some oatmeal, grits, or plain cooked rice, i find it energizes my hens and they are back on track, hope this helps, good luck
