we got 20 chicks!! im so proud of my brinsea, every fertile egg in there hatched

Congrats Aschenfire, they are so cute!

Unfortunately, our incubator had a really bad temperature spike and we didn't find out until too late. Only one baby in the most recent wave made it out, but with a really heartbreaking injury that ended up making us put her down to be merciful.

We still have the last two eggs due on Monday, but most likely they were affected by the spike too. It looks like Rincewind is our only survivor.

On a positive note, my husband let slip that he's getting me a Brinsea for Xmas, and after the poor chick that we had to put down, he is insisting that I open my present early and use it for the New Years Hatchalong. I'm very hopeful that I'll get much better results!

Awwww, Pele, I am so sorry! Pretty sweet of your hubby to give you your gift early, though! Hoping the NYD hatch goes alot better, and that you get tons of sweet little peeps! Looks like alot of us will be setting for New Years, so it'll be a great big party

Me? I have a plain old Hovabator 1602N. LOL I wish I had something nicer. Actually the Hovabator works really nicely in the room I incubate in....temp stayed rock steady this last hatch
