Our 4 girls are now all laying not too irregularly. The roo will escort them back to the coop when they start the egg song and he cheers her on. They usually lay 3 days and skip a day. They are all about 7 months old and have had some stress. One was nabbed one night when I left the coop open and the other 3 were quite forlorn for a day or two but got back at it in good time. They range all day and they do get treats and we talk to them regularly
and they like to take walks with us. I think that a happy bird is a productive bird.
