All laying in the same nesting box

All my ladies (6) lay their eggs in the same nesting box. We have 2 boxes. I went out this morning and all 6 were all together but 1 egg was crushed. Any ideas on how I can prevent this from happening again? Thanks!

Sometimes you can use wooden eggs. Put one wooden egg in every nest box. That should get your chickens to spread out. It worked for me.

Have you tried putting fake eggs in both nest boxes?
