Yes and no, It doesn't happen often but i've once had a wild mallard drake fly into my yard and try to flirt with my call ducks..

Forgive my ignorance here but if you have ducks in the garden, would other ducks be attracted to them and land?

Do you have wild ducks around and fly over frenquently? I live above a river and have 14 water fowl and have never had a wild duck land in my birds area. Had a wild turkey hen once come up to take a look. Lol. Might just depend n location too.

One of my cousins had a fairly big garden pond, one morning he went out and a duck was on it, he went in the house to get some bread, but when he approached it, it flew off, he never saw it again unless it came when he was out.

I stayed at his house once and I was up early, I looked out the window and there was a pheasant strolling around in his garden, when I told him he didn't believe me, it was semi-rural where he lived.

You got to see something special. This turkey hen that came up the drive was checking out my Muscovy drake maybe she was hoping he was a Tom. I love seeing all the wild animals we have around you just have to be at the right place at the right time .
