All my babies. Just thought I'd do a quick gender check.LOTS OF PICS!

I think the EE, barred rock, d'uccle and dutch bantam's are all boys. They EE is for sure a boy looking at his color pattern and the comb. He is a very handsome boy, I would love one that color but I already have way too many roos, lol He's still a bit young for crowing and mounting but could start any day or wait until he is much older.

I don't know why you keep saying mt barred rock is a boy, that photo I took is bad as it emphasizes her comb, it doesn't look that big in person. what makes you think the dutch is a boy? isn't she kind of young to tell?

I had 4 BR, all roos, yours do NOT look like mine, I would say pullets on both BR, I am sorry, I am new to chickens, less than a year, so not familiar with the rest of them...I have EE's now, as new babes, not sure their gender...they are beautiful aren't they, all so different....

Your little EE is a tough call. There is a fair amount of color in that comb, all right, but it's so hard to say with these birds. All I can say at this point is watch and wait; with mine, I sometimes have to look for pointed saddle feathers appearing before I can definitively name a bird a roo.

I know this doesn't help, but I have one EE who, up until four months old, looked exactly like a pullet. Then the little scamp switched gears on me!

ok, i will take another picture of periwinkle. i was expecting roo for honeysuckle, and maybe amapola but Periwinkle is one of the most feminine of my pullets, i took a bad picture of her.
