All My Children -- The End of An Era

Ok, I just watched the final episode of AMC.

After 41 years, that's the BEST they could do to wind it up? SERIOUSLY?

To the producers of AMC: No wonder your soap is gone. It could not have been ANY LAMER.

Ah, yes, the Princess is depressed - the end of an era. I have to take her out to dinner tonight.

Or is that just an excuse?

What a totally lame ending! I heard Susan Lucci really doesn't want her career as Erica to continue via the computer.... so maybe she was shot and will die? I think leaving it hanging with no closure is lame and does not make me interested in following it on the net.

Yeah, that's my theory, she was moving across the room when the shot was fired, I think he was meaning to hit Adam and hit Erica instead...

Let's see.... J.R. fought with Tad and Dixie at the airport, then he found out the Chandler's were going to have a Welcome-Back-To-Life party for Stuart... J.R. decided to stay and crash the party. Everybody of course was at the party, saying sentimental things, and J.R. was hiding in the tunnels with a gun, watching everyone and drinking alcohol.
Erica called Jack aside and wanted him to leave for CA with her for her movie. Hayward showed up and from what i could see got a bunch of $ from Adam. Jack basically said he could not go with Erica, and walked out. she ran after him calling to him, saying not to leave her. The scene shifted to the actors as J.R. could see them from the tunnel, pausing on the ones J.R. was currently ticked off at. Erica said something about going after Jack.
The scene showed J.R. lifting the gun and firing as Erica started walking toward Jack, but it never showed who the gun may have been aimed at. and that was it. a bang and a black screen. Lame!!!
