I went away for 5 days- left the ladies locked up in the coop for 2 days -and the neighbor let them out the others. When I got home there were eggs in the coop, but bhind the coop by my fence there were 4 eggs(appeared to be 1 each from the 4 that are laying-easily identified by color).
It was a hot day, probably over 100, but that never stopped them before. Could it be that one decided to lay back there and the others just took her que?
I am at work today and won't be able to find out if this is going to be a thing until I get home. The eggs sitting in the coop in 100 degree heat is one thing, but the eggs sitting in the sun in 100 degree heat is another. Two of the eggs were cracked and the other two I have not cracked yet to see their condition.
