You won't be able to raise the Bobwhites with any other breed of quail. Do you have the space requirements for them? They're a really demanding breed.

Yeah, pretty much I’m hoping. My friend is on brooder duty and he’s done quail a million times so that’s good

Ok. They're super aggressive. You wouldn't think it to look at them, but they will kill each other in the blink of an eye if they're cramped or bored at all. They cannot ever be housed with other breeds, and from spring to late fall they can only be housed in pairs. And do not split up pairs! They mate for life so always pair the pairs correctly. Put same color zip ties on the pairs legs or something so you pair them correctly. They'll covey up in winter so you can put everyone together then.

It was actually his idea for the bobwhites...so hopefully he’ll take care of most of that but I am collecting a lot of info just in case
