The other day I sent my stepdad for feed and he brings me back a bag of 'all stock' with my usual stuff http://www.tractorsupply.com/feed-solutions-all-stock-sweet-12-animal-feed-50-lb--2405890 thinking that I could try it since it is so much cheaper ($10 a bag) then my layer pellets

Although I will not be switching over to 'all stock' anytime soon (I guess its for sheep, goats, cattle) I was wondering if it would be ok to give to my mixed flock until the bag is gone. TSC is just too far away to justify bringing it back...I would of course be mixing it with the usual layer pellets and small ammount of scratch and my birds freerange and get scraps as well.

I think it would be fine to mix a little in or scatter some around as a treat, but I wouldn't switch to it entirely since its only 12% protein. I give my chickens a little goat feed (which aside from the package is the exact same stuff) and they love it. Good luck!
