check out the site spaceweather.com - lots of up to date information on what sun spots are erupting and if they will affect us!~

Have no idea what if any impact there will be but I could sure use some of that heat up here. My high temp for the last 10 days was only 55 F. High winds and rain make it feel like March. Brrrrrrrrr

It's been somewhat of a typical summer for us so far! I would like to see some more nightly thunderstorms though. I love when it's beautiful during the day and storms at night! At my internship I live very high up and the bolts of lightning are awesome at night!

Pink, my personal feeling is that we have stomped on and trashed this planet so much for so long, that Mother Nature has decided to fight back.

I hear ya on that one.. Im not one to go with the end of the world stuff. that all these horrible weather events are signs.. I think that the Earth is alive and in constant motion we're just seeing the same phases shes gone thru before , only there wernt people around to witness and record.. shoot I know my pasture was under salt water at one time.. my kids have found fossils.. who know it may be underwater again some time.. but I dont think in any of our lives..

I agree Mother nature is fighting back and she is kicking some butt...

blessed be )O(

ide like some major rain storms to hit here not cause its 100+ degrees but all the fires everywhere
i personally think that we need to treat our planet better. i dont believe in nuclear power plants i just dont find them safe things like this i think we can and should live without its gonna hurt earth in the long run

I showed a LOT of houses to a very smart man from Ga., who was relocating up here (bought from another agent, then I heard he lost his job . . . Karma is WONDERFUL!! Not really, just kidding . . .) anyway, we were talking about the big scare about the Al Gore movie and all that, and he said something that just struck me right in the heart and has stayed in my mind ever since . . ."why does the humans on this earth honestly believe anything they try to do to Mother Earth is going to change anything? Mother Nature is in charge of everything that is going to happen, has happened and will happen on this earth, and we are foolish if we think anything we do is going to change what is already in the master plan." Not exact words, but close enough.

Had another VERY smart science teacher and math whiz tell me that there is a mountain side in Madagascar that is starting to slide into the ocean . . .IF it does slide in as a whole, it will cause a massive wave over 120 feet tall that WILL hit the East coast . . .something else to think about , and then he also said that (and i have read this before) that under Old Faithful there is one of the largest volcanic sites in the world, and it blows every 600,000 years, proven fact. We are now closing in on the 700,000 year. Something ELSE to think about.

What will be will be; the Powers that Be are the only ones that know when and where and how and who. Kinda nice that way.
