Thank you so much for the advice! I have not, but I definitely will since the incubator is 1 ft. away from me as we speak (overprotective mother) I'll also try to whistle a little bit, but when I whistle what should I be listening for? I also had some difficulties with starting lockdown since I have a homemade bator-I couldn't get the temp. down and the humidity up! I finally regulated it on the night of day 21. Like I said I candled them on day 18 & 20 and I already said about the veins and all and I DID see some movement- like slow baby chick movement.

You would hear soft pips responding to the whistling. I think all you can do is hope for the best at this point, but def try these things. Homemade bators require so much attention, you might need to tweak it a bit and keep a hygrometer/thermometer inside for the next hatch. Good luck, hoping the best for both of us!!

Thanks! I wish you the best also. I do I have both inside and they are and have been regulated so idk. I also did tap on the bator but no responses or movement. There might have been since I was trying to keep an eye on 20 at a time but we'll see....OMG so I JUST checked on my eggs 2 seconds ago and I SWEAR I see a little/medium crack in one of my eggs and a LITTLE hole!!!! It's on the far side away from me so I can't see it perfectly and also there is one more with a bigger/faint crack that is also facing away so I can't see that one. I don't know exactly how long thats been there though. FREAKING OUT!!!

Lol that is exactly what im doing right now i just had these little ones hatch today they are a day late. One of them is a white & black speckled bobwhite and a Georgia bobwhite.. they are so cute... and 5 more that are still in lockdown all with pipes im hoping that they hatch today.. im sitting next to my incubator it's so intense i just want to help them crack the shell... please keep us posted ...

I have 13 button eggs supposed to hatch today, with 10 having pips, so hopefully I get some babies soon. Really excited, they will be my first quail.

Did the little one's. Hatch???

Wow these little ones hatched out on day 25th...i put them on lockdown on day 21... why are they taking long to hatch??

I just put 13 Snow Flakes bobwhite quails on lockdown today ... stressful,exciting,

im crossing and praying that they hatch.. i have been wanting to raise and breed them... not alot of people have them. Here in the Inland empire..

Azer if you have to much of a temp fluctuation with it being to low, they hatch late.
