all who are hatching quail

hatching is addicting lol I put in like 50-100 every week

What do you do with that many quail??? Eat or sell?
I must be in trouble if it's that addicting, my first batch (150) will be in lockdown starting this Sat. I'm putting in 27 more today. Can't wait for first quail to hatch.

New addict here on my 2nd hatch I am soooo glad I only got a mini incubator and can only put in 12 quail eggs at a time.   My first hatch just came out of the brooder and looks like 4 hens 6 roos not the ratio I was after but I have another 12 chances for more egg layers in lockdown.

Last night this pretty little Rosetta Tux showed up in my hatcher. The rest are Goldens.

A Roux dilute pharoah hatchling from a week ago. As I discovered upon return of Grand Marshall Winston. This male over a Tibeton Tux makes a pretty bird.

My bobwhites go into lockdown on sunday! I need some advice. Right now they are in a turner. Do I take them out, candle them, remove the turner, then put them back in for hatching? Do I put something over the wire covering the water tray? Do I put the eggs in a basket that fits into the incubator after I remove the turner? This is my first time, sorry for the newb questions. Thanks!!!

My coturnix quail eggs are on day 17 or 18...they were put in 18 days ago...but, absolutely nothing has happened. No rocking, no peeps, no pips, no nothing! Starting to think they aren't going to hatch :(

I have never done quail, but in general you remove the turner when going into lockdown and just place tge eggs on the wire (witg paper towel or something). As for the wire, I read to place a paper towel or that rubber lining stuff, to keep their legs from going through when they hatch.
