We don't have cows yet but I beg almost daily to get them. We still have a bit of work to do on our land before getting them. I can't wait. Cows are great.

They taste delicious. Calves are funny to watch playing. I don't have to mow the pasture. They keep my dad occupied and active. (He'll be 70 soon.) Some of them are pretty to look at. If they piss me off, I can just eat them. Like I said. Delicious.

Yes, agreed, delicious. Plus, they are actually really nice if they think you're going to feed them! My kids LOVE climbing up on the fence and watching the cows, and calling to them, despite the fact that the cows NEVER come running when the kids call them. The cows only come running when Alfalfa calls them!

With eyes that big, how can you not like a cow? Even big ol' steers are good-looking animals.

AND, back to delicious, our cows taste 1000% better than any store-bought meat.

AND AND we'll be getting FRESH milk

from our jerseys. Can't beat that.

And you can sell the meat, butter, and cheese, or even cow shares in your milk cow.

Oh YES! Fresh cows milk is so much better than at the store!! I love fresh homemade butter too! My neighbors across the cotton field have them and send me butter and milk
