Alligator roo

Hannibal, I like that. I am having a heck of a time coming up with names for the chooks. I used to have so much fun naming my animals, now I just can't come up with anything. It's so bad that I have a

rabbit named "Fart Knocker" because that's what I called him when he was just a wee little turd and was the biggest pest in the pen. Well, he is now about 4 months old and I never came up with anything different so that's still what we call him

Cyanne, Tyson is a handsome little fellow.

JayBird, I have an EE (supposed to be an Ameraucana, but I'm not so sure) hen who does this. In her case, she is begging for treats. Whatever I have is always better than what is in their food dish (even if it's the same darn thing

) silly chicken.

My little guy seemed better behaved today, maybe our chat the other day had more impact than I thought it did. Then again, I didn't pick him up yet today either. They are all still too shy to eat out of my hand, but I got some really tempting treats so hopefully they'll come around quickly. Is it okay to give Mr. Hateful treats as long as he isn't actively misbehaving? Or do I need to wait until he is behaving better in general?

It is not funny that he is biting, it is funny the way you described it!! So sorry for laughing!!!

Anyways, I cover mines heads OR if that doesnt seem to work I flick them on the comb. Not super hard, just enough to get their attention and then I loudly say NO NO NO!!!

Good luck.

You can go on and laugh, lol. It's okay. I figured it might attract some attention that way, be a little less likely to be as overlooked

I recently started a thread on here to figure out his color, and it was more complicated than I ever thought it would be! The final word that the genetics guru guy gave was this:

"He has a crow wing so he is birchen, he is heterozygous (split) for silver and gold (lemon) and he also carries one dunn gene. I believe that will make him a lemon dun crow wing or lemon chocolate."

You can read the full thread here, if you like and see more pics of Tyson:
