Chicks are out of the lamp and have been 2 days locked up on the coop, when should I let them out? So they know coop is home?

🙀

Is is warm and cosy inside?

First day :
Give them a couple of sqft outside (fenced and easy acces) . So they learn to go inside when they get cold and tired. If the chicks start to peep. : Pick them up and push them softly inside .
Their instincts tell them to go inside to their fake mammie (warm and cozy place) as soon as they get cold.

If this goes well, you can take away the fence, to explore the whole run.

Got them out

Yes 🙌🏼 they are going in and out by themselves now
They are really cute. My chicks are 6 weeks old. Still have the heat lamp on because it is getting 32 degrees at night. And sometimes in the day. But i had turned it off and got them outside 4 times. Now they cant with the weather.
