That rooster was one of the only ones I saw that took after his mother's coloring more than Suede's.

Now I wish I had kept the little cockerel instead of selling him. Only the two hatched and I kept the pullet. My Brahma rooster obviously had a liaison with my EE hen before he was sold. He was way too uncoordinated and was hurting the girls. I may have to hatch out some of my Brahma girls eggs just to see what a Brahma Polish would look like!!

Hello all!! I have a flock of mixed breeds. Well, they are all mixing by now.

I started out with 13 game birds.....have one game hen left.
I also have 1 EE rooster, 1 RIR rooster, 1 Barred Rock rooster....2 Plymouth Rock roos. Then, I have 5 PR hens, 1 BR hen, the 1 game hen, and 2 mutts...EE/game pullet, and 1 EE/PR pullet. I am hoping the 2 EE mix pullets will have rec''d some broody genes, so they can join the 1 game hen for broody duty.
I like the mutts!! You never know what will pop out of the egg! My 2 EE mutt pullets are my first 2 blue egg layers. Sooo purty!!

I am so happy to have read this! I have a small mixed flock and my chicks arrived today, so 35 total now. one roo EE with brahmas,speckled Sussex,blue cochin, GLW,rr,black giants and EE. oh you all have my wheels spinning. The pics are awesome everyone!
