71/2 month old chickens, mix of breeds, bantam belgiun d anvers, leghorn, amerucana, have not started laying. They have a fairly stress free life, except for the occasional possum or coon attempt at breaking and entering, plenty of forage, feed and water. the range in the day, and ive looked everywhere for the eggs outside the coop. I also have one one and half year old cuckoo hen that stopped laying.
I have 3 roosters, 2 bantam and one full size french copper maran. I know its too many roos, but they all get along so far, but could too many roos affect the laying?
also, maybe for another thread, but my maran doesn't crow or exert any dominant roo traits. he too, almost 8 monts. the bantams go nuts
