almost day 21!!!! I can hear them!!!

I am so excited, I came home and was checking on the eggs and soon I heard a few small chirps. Just curious but how long after they start chirping and the eggs start moving that they hatch? I'm so excited!!!

Ok, so I was chirping to the eggs and one pipped, but is he early and I made it sound like the other chicks were hatching so he started to? Now I'm worried.

Peeping means that the chick has punctured the air cell. It can take over 24 hours from that point, for the chick to make that first break in the shell. After that, the chick will rest, the vascular system will recede and the yolk sac will absorb. That can take another 24 hours. Only after all of that happens, will the chick start to zip and hatch.
