Chirping

Hello!!
I’m hatching silkie eggs and I’m nearing the 21 day mark but the eggs are just shaking (when I talk to them they start shaking like crazy) and have been shaking for a few days.
I don’t hear any chirping and I’m worried about opening the incubator to candle them because I read the humidity and temperature is important to stay stable during lockdown.
I had 37,5c the whole incubation until day 16, Then I changed it to 37,2c. I meant to put them in lockdown day 17 but I counted wrong by 24 hours but I think it’s fine bc they are moving.
I bought a hygrometer but they forgot to pack the sensor so I couldn’t use it but I filled both water trays like the instructions said but I’m just getting overly stressed and worried because they should have internally pipped now and I should hear them chirping right?

Thanks ahead for replies!

Here’s a photo of the parents btw, the eggs where also shipped. ❤️

You don't need to change the temp for silkies, but that little bit shouldn't matter. It will slow them down a tish though, so might get into Day 22.

I don't see or hear much prior to mine hatching, and I'm hatching a few dozen silkies per week. I'd just be patient as it sounds like you're going to have some pipping very soon!

I don't open the incubator until they've all hatched. If there is an egg or eggs left in there unhatched, I try to see if they've pipped. If not, I take the dry, fluffy chicks out to their brooder and candle what didn't hatch to see if they're still viable or not.

The humidity should be around 65-70% right now though.

Hey so update my mom just heard one peep so that means maybe chicks tonight right?! I’m so exited

Update 2, one of the eggs externally pipped and it took around an hour from its internal pip, it’s talking back to me ❤️
