Finally got the shingles on the roof, I just need to figure out the set up inside and how to block the wind from the left side which just so happens to be the biggest bloody window (20x45) on this thing.

Any recommendations on how I can block the windows? Pexiglass, plastic, wood?

Maybe glass louvres, with hardware cloth? That way you could deflect the wind (at an angle of your choice) whilst maintaining good ventilation.

Very nice can you show us the window you want to block? I am using shutters on my current build. rustic ones like this.........

That and The window is facing the prevailing winds and I'm worried that it will cause them to become ill. Am I being over cautious?

I can't say whether the dust would make them sick. Maybe someone else in your area would know better. I would think that in Southern Az sealing it up would just turn that coop into even more of an oven in the summer.

I would be more concerned with providing ventilation and shade. Anything above 90 is the danger zone for them.

That definitely is a concern that I have, I was hoping for something that I can open and close on that window. Esp when monsoons come thru the winds are strong enough to rip roofs off, like it did with mine last year...

Depending how its framed inside you might be able to used some tinted plexiglass and postion a sheet that would direct air up into the coop. But I know nothing about living where you do.
