Almost lime green poop ?!?

She is gasping for air and then swallowing something, possibly secretions. How does her crop feel? Is it empty or full, hard soft or puffy?

It feels full, soft, and squishy to me but I am really new at this. She does try to pull away whenever I feel it so I’m assuming it’s tender or sore.

Can you look inside her beak for any lesions, obstruction, yellow/pasty material?

Take out food/water for the night, she should go to sleep at dusk. Check her crop first thing in the morning - it should be flat/empty. If it's not empty, then I would treat for Sour Crop.

I’ll give it a shot. She’s pretty aggressive with the head shake when I attempt anything with her head or neck. I’ll read the sour crop protocols as well. Thank you again for all your help!

Very sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was sick when she came to you. Sometimes when I lose a chicken, and want to investgate what might have been wrong, I will open the abdomen after they die, and look at major organs—liver, intestines, gizzard, oviduct, and anything unusal, such as the pressence of fluid in the belly. The crop cannbe opened as well. Frequently, I have seen an impacted gizzard that keeps the crop from emptying.
