As I finished eating a fresh-off-the-iron Chinese goose-egg waffle, I got curious as to our little lady's production during her laying season. November to May she laid 99 eggs in her first season!

Although we thanked her many times during the year, I went outside and thanked her again. :) She replied with a honk that I think translated as "I am going for 100+ next year!" ;)

Yep they are great for baking too lol

My Toulouse goose Missy who is now 6 yrs old this past April laid over 40 eggs her first year almost that many next year and 3rd year laid around 20 last 2 years she hasn't laid an egg at all. They still have breeding season and she loves to go in and lay in a nest one of the ducks has made but she hasn't laid an egg in 2 yrs. She is very healthy so I guess she just laid out early. I did find a tiny OEGB egg under her the other day. :hmm
