Good afternoon everyone! I'm a newbie to the emu world. I've raised chickens for years, but this is my first Emu. I ordered 2 eggs, and one hatched and I now have a bouncing baby emu, Reptar
She hatched Wednesday of last week. I width-held food for 48hrs and water for 24 hours. She still isn't very interested in eating anything other than chopped greens. I have that along with 20% chick starter in the bin with her. Any suggestions? I tried a scrambled egg yesterday and she wasn't interested. May try again tonight. I've been trying to "teach" how to eat by poking it with my fingers. Also, not noticing her drinking much either so I added sav-a-chick probiotoc and electrolyte to her drinking water.
