I have 24 Aloha chicks- just hatched, May 11-14.

25 dollars for 3, willing to give more of a discount if you want more of them.

Straight run, generally I don't have a good idea of genders in Alohas until 4-6 weeks in most cases.

Chance for blue egg-layers.

If you're not very close, willing to drive to meet you halfway if it's a reasonable distance.

My rooster and some of my hens to give you an idea what these chicks can grow up into:

This is a long shot but do you know anyone that breeds any dun/khaki chickens of any breed?
I have some dun birds actually! 2 of my Aloha hens are dun. I have a dun cockerel that's 4 months old and a couple younger dun birds that may or may not be males. They're being broody-raised so I don't get to observe them up close a whole lot, they're a little over 4 weeks old.

What a pretty bird!! Do you sell khaki chicks or eggs? I need homozygous for my breeding project.

I am working my way towards breeding khaki Alohas as my little side project, but that dun Aloha cockerel is my first male I'm growing out that carries dun. So I've just been getting dun birds mixed in my hatches, not khaki birds. I also can't ship live birds at all and can't ship eggs right now because it's just too hot until mid-Fall, I don't know how close you are to the Phoenix area. I believe I have both males and females carrying dun in my one-monthers.

I'm in Florida... Another very hot place! It's terrible right now already. That is such a cool project. I want to just keep up on the progress and see how you do. I'm way too far to pick up birds though.

Best of luck finding a source of dun/khaki for your project! I know it's a kind of rare gene, part of the reason I'm trying to keep it going in my little flock. I'm not sure how many other Aloha breeders have dun in their gene pools, there's not a lot of people breeding Alohas to begin with. I'm not even sure if the person whose flock genetics I hatched my hens from still has any dun birds in their breeding group. I'm lucky to have hatched my hens, I think it would be really cool to create a line of khaki Alohas who lay blue/green eggs.
