(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Totally. New. Got a crazy idea that I wanted some chickens. Had my wonderful man build a coop. Had a friend of a friend that had to get rid of her hens. We took them, plus a ROO that was getting ganged up on.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
So, now we have 4 hens (I'm currently trying to have all of you help me figure out their breed in another post) and one Rooster on the mend.
(3) What breeds do you have?
No clue. I think we have identified one as a Jersey Giant.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Googled it tried to figure out how to construct a coop.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I'm a painter and my man owns a music venue...so there's no shortage of good tunes and nice things to look at around here. We play music, like a good cocktail, love riding bicycles, love anything outdoors in beautiful Utah.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We've got the chickens, 1 shepherd/ridgeback mix 13 yr old dog, 1 cat, 1 african grey parrot.
