Hello, New to the site, and will be a new hen mom in about two weeks or so. Really excited. Had a chicken that adopted us one morning and had her for years before she passed away. Didn't know much about raising them back then. Didn't raise her for eggs just for a companion, and she was awesome. Now I would like to raise hens for eggs as well as companions. Lol.so bare with me I might have a lot of questions in the near future.

So glad you could join our community! Congratulations on the beginnings of your chicken adventures. What type of chickens will you be getting in two weeks? Many of us on here raise chickens for eggs, but even more so for the companionship. Chickens can be so amusing and enjoyable to watch!

Good luck with your future chickens! What breed(s) are you getting? Whatever their breed, chickens do make excellent companion animals/pets, and have the extra benefit of delicious eggs.

Thank u all for the warm welcomes! There are two breeds to choose from at the moment I can't remember the breeds. But getting them as chicks and I hope I make a good mom. Thanks again!
