Hawaii
Hi, new member here. Moved to Hawaii in December. 50 years ago I raised Banties on the farm. Haven't been able to stop and smell the roses (or chickens) since. When my company offered me an early out I decided it was time to slow down and enjoy life. Read about a lot of great breeds on this site. Wasn't sure what breed to start with but a lady in Waimea offered to sell me the last of her spring chicks, a Bielefelder, a Welsummer, and a Dark Copper Maran. I think she said they were hatched in February. From what I have read on various sites I still have a few months before I start getting eggs. The three seem to get along fine but their distinctly different personalities make me laugh. Can't wait for that first egg.

Hi and welcome to BYC! Thanks for joining us!

Hi there. Let me know what breed you decide to go with. I am anxious to see how my pullets do.

We are in for a rainy weekend thanks to Darby.
