There’s this kind of small, medium size lake that only has a a family of 5 Canada geese. The pair has 3 young geese/goslings and the one gosling doesn’t seem like he’s capable of flying. Right now the lake is frozen and has snow on it and this gosling is there all by himself, the parents have left him. Not sure why he can’t fly because he does not have angel wing, so that part is a little confusing also. I feel so bad for this poor gosling he’s just sitting there on the grass and snow not able to get in the lake because it’s frozen. Will he be ok for a couple days?

How big is this gosling? Like is it fully feathered, or does it still have 'fluff'? And are you absolutely positive it can't fly? Honestly if it can't fly, and it's by itself, I don't see it living too awful long. Most likely a predator of some sort will get the poor thing. It's sad, but true.
If he really cannot fly, and you want to save him, try catching it and take it to a wildlife rehab center. They might be able to help the goose there.

He is fully feathered and full grown, he’s maybe about 8 or 9 months old. He hatched in the spring of 2018. His feathers and wings look fine to me but for some reason every once in awhile when the family leaves he’s always left behind. Now that it snowed last night the lake is still frozen and the family left him behind yesterday. He keeps making a calling sound real loud I guess thinking they’re near by. They do always come back and I hope this in freezes so they can come back for him. No predators seem to be around here though.

Oh they are around and with him calling they will find him. Poor thing. Happened here many years ago a family of Canadas down in our mt river the only gosling could only swim circles We would see them daily for a couple weeks then one morning I kept hear the gosling calling. I think the parents just couldn't wait any longer and left it. We looked all over for the one left behind but never found it predators are just waiting for the opportune time. I still feel sad when I think about how hard that had to of been for those parents to have to leave. Get in touch with your DNR or wild life rescue hopefully they will come out and evaluate this goose.
