alpha hen

I have two Cochins and two Orpintons, how do I tell who is the alpha hen is? It seems to me that the BO's don't really care what the others are doing or sqacking about and the Cohins are very vocal about everything. One of my cochins annouces when anyone approaches the coop and anything that happens in there...is this an indicator??
