Alternative to Bleach?

The floor is indeed starting to rot. I will clean it, my husband will refloor it, and I will paint it. We will also re-roof the coop and put "siding" on it - i.e. something to cover the crude vent holes and corner gaps and that will stand up to the elements.

I'll be checking out the coop construction posts for good materials, safe and effective ventilation, and all the others things I will need to construct a good home for happy, award winning 4-H laying hens!

@BDutch - where would I find ecopaint, or instructions on making my own?

This Fungi paint Xyhlo or Fungiforce is a Dutch product. But I believe they sell it to the US too.
