Alternatives to Brewer's Yeast?

Those alfalfa hay cubes may or may not be old... they just may be sun bleached after being cut and exposed to the sun out in the field before being cubed.. Look at any hay stack and the outer 2 inches will be brown , but the inside of the bale will be nice and green. One will get better results using alfalfa pellets when soaked. Much smaller and finer cut of the stems therby more nutrients available during digestion. I give this mash to orphaned foals, sick or elderly or toothless and elderly horses.
