Anyone ever used Alu-Spray for treating wounds on chickens? Here's the stuff: http://www.atozvetsupply.com/ALU-Spray-2-6oz-75gm-p/504-ngcas.htm

A
staff member at my local feed store told me how she used a single spray coating of this stuff on a hen who had been injured by a dog. The wound was open, there was no skin to stitch back together, and other folks said the hen was a goner. But she sprayed this stuff over the wound & now the bird has fully recovered.

I'm going to keep it in mind if ever one of my birds should need such a remedy.

I haven't ever heard of it, but it sounds like a great product. I once lost a pullet who had been attacked by a raccoon. She got infected and filled with maggotts, so i had to put her down. If i could have prevented those things, she might have made it (maybe). It definitely sounds worth it to have it in your kit.

Amazing stuff, though I never used it on chickens. I would imagine you could. It's been around for years. I originally got it from my vet for an injury on one of my horses. It coats, protects and promotes healing. Easy to use, you just spray it on the wound. I always have a can of it on hand. Pricey, but IMO, well worth it. Ask your vet about it.
