Always molting

How many times a year is normal for a hen to molt? I have several hens that are molting for the third time in about 10 months. Averaging 0 to 2 eggs a day. They have good feed, fresh water and free range most days. Winter temps aren't extreme.

They usually molt once a year. Generally in the fall when the days are shorter. Molt can be brought on by stress. Have you watched for feather picking?
