No, the parents aren't experts, but they owned chickens for 15 years. But I think they are female because all the people who posted said so. ANd so MAJORITY RULES!

The people on this board have largely said that it is too early to tell, but that, at this point there was nothing obvious to indicate a rooster.

If your friend’s parents have been raising chickens for 15 years, they will know their stock better then anyone and with that in mind, if they say you have a male and female there, there is at least a decent chance that they are correct.

One of your chickens had an obvious single comb, the other didn't, if they are both single combs, then one of them has a much more developed comb then the other one, and that could be a sign; But it is not a garentee.

I'm sure everyone here will be eager to see what you end up with when your chicks mature, and we will all wait for that day with anticipation.
