I started with 6 in April and just bought 6 more...I thought my DH was going to go through the roof...but he didn't ...He just smiled and said..."Now can we move them to the basement in their tub instead of our guest bathroom?"

I dont' know what it is about those little buggers.... so soft and cuddly... and to see my 3yo put on her "awe they are so adorable wrinkled face smile" when she holds them... PRiceless. So now we have 3 tetra tints girls 3 mixed GL Wayandotts (bettin 2 are roos) and 3 Golden comets and 2 Black sex linked girls...*sigh*...sooo precioius and sweet.

And yes if there is an award to be given...Kicken Chicken might have to get that one.

Man oh man, I only wish I had room for any right now. So far we are in the planning stage. Waiting for my sister to figure out what she wants. Plus have to build a coop and pen.

I do, as well! I started out with just two hens and now I've got 9 chickens and a broody on 9 eggs. Would be no problem if we had a big enough garden but we don't. I have to start telling myself every morning in front of the mirror "MUST.NOT.BUY.OR.HATCH.MORE.CHICKENS!" Or maybe instead "MUST.WIN.LOTTERY.AND.BUY.NEW.HOUSE.WITH.BIGGER.GARDEN!"

Ugh, add me to the chicken hoarders club please. We went to the feed store to pick up 6 chickens, came home with 8, went back a few days later , total went to 11, then 14, then 16, today found a breeder that was selling Jubilee orpington, we went to get a couple, ended up with 3 Jubilee, 1 Tolbunt, and 1 lavender, my only regret was not getting another lavender, my husband thinks I'm completely crazy and going through a midlife crisis.
