Am I a complete Idiot?

Hey all. Today was supposed to be day 17 for my eggs, so I went to candle them and none of the 2 dozen eggs had developed.
I candled them at day 10 and they looked to be developing but after I found out today that none went beyond that I went and broke them all open just to see and only 3 out of the 2 dozen had developed anything inside. This is the second time I have incubated eggs and the first time they have failed to hatch. Last time I incubated eggs I did a whole lot of stuff wrong and got a great hatch and this time I did everything right I thought and none hatched.

So my question is...

AM I A TOTAL IDIOT???

No just unlucky. It happens to everyone. SO sorry about your hatch.

Are these shipped eggs?

Are they your own?

Did you check fertility if they were your own eggs?

Most were my own eggs. I also had a some shipped eggs in there.

I've checked several of my eggs before and they were all fertile. I've seen my rooster mount the hens. I just don't know what I could have done so wrong that would cause the eggs to not develop. The 3 that started developing was 1 polish x brahma and and 2 bantam chochin eggs. none of my pure bred brahma eggs developed

You maybe didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes things just happen that way. Incubating eggs is always a gamble. Hoping your next hatch goes better!
