yep, it's pair , you can tell more on millieS usually by their color than any comb, hens light, males darker,, USUALLY

OH YEAH!!!!!!!....hope it holds true...guess he will be my one and only banty rooster than...i think i have some other roos in my flock...standards...he is the nicest one...the others are a little wacko already and they are only about 3 weeks old...thnx for the info

i was told i had 1 roo and 1 pullet...soooo...meet Benny and Joon....6 weeks old...still think 1 of each...thnx 4 the info....

Second it's a french word so it is pronounced "du-clay". Hope that clears it up for you - did you need help pronouncing the rest? If so it's "meal" or sometimes "mill" depends on who you ask and "fleur" is just ER with a FL in front of it.

at 6 weeks those might both be pullets, any chance you can post a better photo of their heads (for comb development), im trying to remember how long it took before i could tell on the ones i gew out last year, i think at 6 weeks the roos had larger combs.

i beleave they are of belgian origion (from the town of uccle in brussels) origionally, and i beleave mille fleur is a french word meaning "thousand flowers", fitting i think

I think those are both pullets. In my experience, the combs would be red by now if either was a roo.

One is a roo one is a hen.I Have 8 going on 3 months old and the roo's were prominent in the comb's within a couple weeks.I lost one for some crazy reason at one month old.I have 3 roo's left and 5 hens .Some of mine have gotten "muff's some not.I love them though and they doing great in the BIG coop.They haven't discovered the run yet but they will.
