Am I a Roo?

Thank you all. I have no clue what breed she is! LOL I ordered a Bantam mix from MMH. She was especially cute when she first got here. She stood out from the rest, was just a little fluffball!
I guess I'll have to wait and see if she lays an egg!

We have a Light Brahma that looks very similar. Does yours have feathers on its feet? Ours is about two monthes also and she came out of the pullet bin

so we are hoping hen. Yours looks like a girl to me but I am biased. She is definitely very beautiful.
Here is a picture of Eudora...She is also huge compared to even our other large breed pullets.

Looks like a buff brahma to me, I have one in bantam and more in standard size.

At approximately eight weeks old with that red of a comb, I'd have to go with male as the sex.

She looks like a hen to me. I am not an expert but when you look at a roo and hen they present themselves differently. Less strutting for hens and more lady like.

I was going to say brahma too, does she have feathers on her legs?
they are a heavy breed. I have light brahmas, dark brahmas, and buff brahmas. they are a good sturdy bird.
I also say hen.

this is my buff brahma hen on the top, others are brahmas and buff orfington.

An 8 week old chick is too young to "look" like a rooster. A chick that young may have an "androgynous" or he/she body type and indeterminate behavior, so the ways to tell (or guess) gender at that age are: comb development and color, beetle green in the tail (if there is any), and thickness of the ankles. That's a Brahma--a pea-combed breed. Pea combed breeds tend to develop combs more slowly than single-combed breeds. Look at the comb compared to the single-combed pullet in the OP's original picture. Big difference. So that's a roo.
