Am I a silkie.. and am I a hen?

Thank you all! I am nervous about the age and ending up with a roo. 5 weeks vs agreeing to take a 5 month old is quite a difference!

Oh my gosh, I need to stop looking at everyone beautiful chickens.. they are so cute. It makes me want to keep adding chicks!

Also, I talked to the owner. She said they weren't on growth feed because she had older chickens. I am going to get them on chick feed, is there anything else I should do for them to make sure they are healthy?

Yeah....that's not good.
She needs to do some research.
That also probably means they definitely aren't that old. They couldn't have survived five months very easily like that.

Getting them on chick feed or growers as soon as possible is the best thing you can do really.
Apple cider vinegar (raw) is a good thing to have on hand all the time.
It's a good general health booster.
Good job you bought them. She should not have been feeding birds that age layers.

Just for reference, here are some current pics of our 5 month old gold Sebright.

An update just in case anybody was curious (I always am haha)... I still have no idea what the actual ages are but I put them on grower food and gave them hen boost. They both seem to look better (the silkie has gotten so fluffy) and are getting along with their new sisters. No cock-a-doodles so I am still hopefully they are hens, but no eggs to confirm! I better get going on the nesting box as all my babies are getting a little more red then pink!

Glad to hear it. How old are they now? Do you have updated photos?

I don't have any doubt of the Sebright being female. It might be easier to tell with the Silkie now.
