Okay thanks, for treating the chickens and the coop, I should use permethrin spray/dust every week for a month? Just checking to make sure I did it correctly.

You use it and then you treat again 7 to 10 days later.

Permethrin spray is your best option here, done often as already mentioned. I'd at least consider spraying my boots and jeans when out there too, don't keep bringing them to new locations!
Wild songbirds have been the culprit here for bringing in mites and lice! Try to keep them out as much as possible, and check your birds, at least some of them, weekly for unwanted parasites. I look while they are roosting at night, with a small flashlight. a head lamp works great for this too.

I'm still itching..I remember when my girls had mites. Flipping itching here. I hate parasites and small critters that feed on things. Oh I hate tics..I work myself up when I see a tic.
