Well, yeah. That might have something to do with it...

I only raise feather sexable birds so I don't have to wonder who is who...

If you have too many males, yes. Too many males will stress the girls out. When I did my last butcher set (8 week olds), I thought I had all boys, but I vent sexed each one before butchering. I pulled four out. At 8 weeks, they would normally have been laying. I got my first egg out of those four yesterday, more than a week after sending the 16 boys they were with to freezer camp.
