Am i doing the right thing?? day 18 or incubation

I have some eggs under a hen and shes been brilliant and done a really good job so far.

I let her stay incubating with the other 3 chickens because when i moved her on day 10 she freaked out a bit so i put her back and until now the other girls have left her alone..

However, i've now got a broody silkie whos determined to steal the eggs at the last minute and claim them as her own.. they've been sharing for a couple of days now but its now day 18 so i thought i'd better seperate the original broody and eggs into their own smaller arc.

I've kept her in the dark and will for tonight i think.. just to stop her from freaking out again..

is this the right thing to do???

I need a little advice.

That's a tough one.

I'd take the silkie and put her elsewhere.... that or put the eggs in a bator.

i've seperated them now.. hope it wasent too much fussing about for the little 'uns..

shes still sat on the eggs so good signs.
