Well, I got 8 more babies to add to my 6almost two year old girls. This new batch of multiple breeds are NUTS!!! They are 2 1/2 weeks old and they are bouncing off the walls are almost fully feathered, FLYING scratching, dusting, and peeeeeping (which I was told is a sign they are stressed "quite chicks are happy chicks") I've adjusted the light, cleaned the litter, changed the water, given them snacks, bust cannot get them to calm down!!!! I do not remember my first batch being this crazy (2nd child's always worse). I don't know what to do w/ the!!! Help!!!!

They are probably bored. Being outside on grass where they can scratch and peck would probably solve the problem. Perhaps you can at least take them on outings during the day. I've had 3 week old chicks outdoors without heat because they avoided it, in 60 degree / 80 degree weather.
