Am I going crazy

So I bought a pair of buff orpington pullets from tractor supply and I am suspicious of this one chick, am I crazy or did I get an accidental roo? They are about 1-2 weeks old. I am accusing #1 of being the roo.

It's still a bit early to tell. Just because it has a big comb now does not mean it is a roo. Some hens mature quicker then others, Try again in 4-8 weeks just to be sure.

It's too early to tell, we should be able to tell at 6-8 weeks old

To me, at first glance, it looks like a to, but there is no way to tell for sure at this age. If it is still small there is a test that my mother suggested. If you loosely hold your finger around his neck and lift slightly--BE SUPER CAREFUL NOT TO HOLD HIS NECK YOU ARE ONLY LIFTING UP BY BENEATH THE JAW-- if the legs droop it is a boy if the chick kicks and pulls the legs up its a girl. I don't particularly like this test but it is a pretty surefire way to tell. If you find it as unnerving as I do, you can just wait a little while longer to see what it look like in a while.

This thread is old and that method is an old wives tale and doesn't work, and as you know, it could harm the chick. Please don't suggest it.

Well, it actually works rather well. I noticed that when I was checking my chickens for bumble foot the roosters drooped like dead fish, while the hens kicked and pulled their legs up as far as they could. I do worry about it with chicks though. I've never done it myself.

Yes it's been a few weeks but I am still on the fence with it, I will send update pics tomorrow, I think it's a girl but then it looks like a boy I feel like it could go either way
