Boy those chickens have it good! Some chickens seem to be less heat tolerant than others. One of my EE's pants sooner and longer than her sister or my RIR. She's been like that since I got her at 8 weeks, she's 2 yrs now.

Just got a big shallow mortar mixing pan from Lowes. Giant ice cubes freezing as we speak!

Are you making the ice cube in the mortar pan?

Haha! I’d need an industrial sized freezer for that! Naw, I’m trying some cake pans of various sizes first before buying the freezer.

<Giggles> I was lucky to have those bins that fit in freezer and be able to rearrange things to make the room for one of them.
I actually bought those bins to help organize my freezer, that didn't work out but the bins have found other uses.

Well, ya gotta keep them alive...
....and this is by far the best way I've found to help keep them cooler with less work for me. That and judicious doses of electrolytes, always accompanied by plain water.
