Am I lucky or what?

I have a rouen drake that puts his head down and charges anything with it's back turned. Whether it is a chicken, dog, or person. Just look at him and he waddles away. I also have a pekin drake that will chase the chickens away a couple of feet. But 98% of the time all is peaceful.

. I had a runner drake that would do the EXACT same thing.

My Runners all stick together... The rouens, calls and cayugas stick together.... the fawn and white runners and one female pekin stick together... the 2drake mallards get along with everyone except the blue drake runners and 2 jumbo drake pekins (which those 2 are inseperable). The new drake muscovy is a loner but seems to be gettin along with the fawn and whites...My female scovie just bullies everyone even though shes pretty small LOL. When all in a pen together the drake pekins try and get the female runners while the drake runners are going after the drake pekins..... the drake runners will follow the mallards around the pen from the inside while the mallards are on the outside... once and awhile the blue, silver, black runners will get a bit snippy with food. Everyone else seems to get along..

Today while working on the pen we had to remove the fence that we have to allow them in/out of the cage so it was pretty much open all day. Towards night the blue drake runner seen the mallards and there was no stopping him! He chased those poor mallards onto the concrete under the car a few times, through the patch of grass behind the house, then over to where our garden is then I guess he decided thats enough and he went back in the cage, Though I do have to say watching a determinded runner is pretty funny!

I have ducks, geese, chickens, and turkeys all freeranging togather. I have ducks and geese living togather with a turkey. I occasionally notice my geese bossing the ducks a little, but they don't care. My roos want to rape my young turkeys, but nobody gets hurt. I don't see any reason not to keep them togather on the range, but I'd be unlikely to put them in a very confined space togather, unless they were brooded togather.

Funny after posting last night I go let everyone out this morning and as soon as my Muscovy girls come out one jumps another, 2 separate clans as I call them, any way I stand there watching as one girl has the other pinned down and is nipping at her feathers, then it's over but not for long the one on the bottom goes after the one that was on top and all of them are thrilling at the top of their lungs like they are cheering this on. it was hilarious lasted all of 2-3 min then it was over and all quiet again. I thought i was going to have to eat my words for sure.

Mine all free range together in the pasture. The ducks and geese stick together and they ignore the chickens. The ducks just follow the geese all day long.
