Am I paying too much?

The most I have ever paid for a pullet was $20. The lowest was free. I have never bought anything under 8 weeks old yet. The average is around $5-$10 for a fully feathered pullet around here. POL averages $10 - $15.

Yea I bought a dozen Jersey Eggs for 30.00 NONE hatched...

Like I said, I'm new to all this, but the guy I'm buying my hens from is a legitimate Poultry Breeder, not someone operating our of their backyard. Their website looks pretty good to me. You can check it out if you'd like.

Thanks for the input, folks. Always appreciated!

That's a hatchery, not a breeder.

By the look of their birds, I would NEVER order anything from them. I wouldn't want to support their business when they are that overcrowded.

That's horrible!
Did any develop at all?

Nope none developed. We had some Ameracauna eggs also but one of the Jersey Giant eggs like exploded (strange I know) and infected the hatching Ameracauna chick, so it was almost done hatching...

x2. Ask your local feed store where they get chicks from, or find local breeders on BYC. It's worth the $3-5 per chick - still saves you a ton for not having to pay shipping costs. My kids ended up costing $8 ea from My Pet Chicken when shipping was factored in.
